We ordered two pairs of these shoes - the first was too small, although we ordered based on my daughter's foot size. The first pair came in an eBay box and then a shoe box, with padding in each sock, obviously new - they were nice and shiny, and the plates on the soles were smooth. The second pair - which we're keeping because they've had to borrow cool shoes twice before (each time we've ordered this product has been delivered for almost a week) - came in a plastic bag, just snapped together, not separated, with no toe padding. One boot arrived with a scratch mark and the plates of both boots appear to be marked - it looks like the product bought as 'new' has actually been used; Maybe a refund after testing? $30 seems like a lot for kids' tap shoes that they'll outgrow in a year or less and I could possibly get used to. As I said we're keeping them because they're not exactly useless and she's bound to scratch herself anyway, but I'm not sure I would order her the next size up from this seller if she needed one.
