Easy to install and use

I like knowing when the doors are open as I have a house with access from the basement. This system was easy to set up and install.

I would give about 6 out of 10

The camera doesn't seem to alert the phone like a doorbell cam. My settings are correct, but no warning is given. I will install the solar charger as soon as it arrives as Maine's cold climate requires frequent charging of the battery.

Check if Wi-Fi is available before you buy

The picture quality was great when I was able to turn it on. Shortly after that it turned off wifi and then gave an error message saying wifi was off even though it was in the same room at my house where the router was still having the same issue. I called our ISP and they checked and everything was fine. So I'd say the cameras weren't good enough to record Wi-Fi. Everything else about the system was great when it actually worked.

Great security and surveillance system

We have replaced our Xfinity security system with SimpliSafe and I am very pleased! It's very easy to install and set up, it didn't take us very long. The outdoor cameras are very clear even at night and cover a large area, I was really surprised by that, far surpasses the Xfinity! I wish there was an option to buy a system with power cords for the cameras, but they are available so that's not a problem. Cameras cannot be turned off and on.

The cameras are well built and work as advertised. The only issue that kept me from giving it five stars was the ability to turn off the cameras if needed. The base station has three modes - Off, Home and Away. Notifications work great and video recording. But currently there is no way to turn off the cameras. There are times when you are working on the patio etc and this results in the cameras recording and notifying continuously. It would be nice to be able to turn off the cameras at any…

Live View takes too long to connect. UPDATE - Frequent missed motion detection.

UPDATE: Below is my first estimate. This update is a few weeks after installation. There were several overlooked motion detectors. The boxes were delivered to my door multiple times resulting in no notification or video recording. I also check my cameras at least three times a day. after about three weeks of use, the battery charge has already dropped by 1/3. So I'm downgrading this system to two stars.
