Review on πŸ–₯️ Silverstone Tek Aluminum USB 3.0 Hard Drive Mount FP36B-E with 3.5-Inch Bay & 19-Pin Internal Adapter Cable by Billy Donalson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable all round: card reader

Breathing new life into an old PC. We've been holding the i5-2500K since 2011, so in an early 2000s chassis. There were no 2.5-inch drive bays or front USB 3.0 ports in the case. It worked great to modernize it a bit. The front connector on my ASUS P8Z68-V was completely plug-n-play. Two solid state drives fit nicely in the bay. The only issue is that the USB cables from the front panel are thick and a little stiff, and due to the alignment with the 2.5-inch brackets, you'll need to use some force to route them with the drives installed. Everything works, it just seems like it could be done a little better.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
