Review on 1100W Greater Goods Kitchen Sous Vide: Ultra Quiet Precision Cooking Machine with Brushless Motor by Debbie Rossi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use and very quiet.

I'm not a chef and I don't watch cooking shows on TV. Well, to be honest, I wasn't aware of the sous vide method of cooking until recently. I've been looking for tips and tricks on how to make oven or air roasted chicken and salmon tastier. I mean, we marinate with spices and herbs, but the flavor never penetrates. Then I came across a YouTube video about the sous vide process. So we decided to give it a try. We didn't want to spend too much on a device that we were sure we would use a lot. I didn't bother with Bluetooth connectivity, apps, etc. so I went with the GreaterGoods model. It does the job well. Submerge it in water, plug it in, turn the dial to set the temperature, press the dial once to enter the time setting (hours), then press again to enter the minutes, select and press again and it starts to heat up. . As I said, I have no experience with sius vide ovens, so I don't know if they are typically noisy or noisy. But this one is really quiet. If you stand next to the pot, you will hear a slight hiss, but that's about it. The temperature seems accurate when checked with a food thermometer. The whole sous vide process is a little difficult for me due to my limited culinary skills, but I love the fact that the chicken and fish we prepare are flavorful both inside and out.

Pros
  • Powerful: With 1100 W of power, this sous vide heats up to the right temperature in no time at all - a powerful machine. No more waiting to start dinner.
Cons
  • For old
