Great lift set! best lift and suspension kits

I've been wanting to install a lift kit on my 2016 Ford Expedition EL for a while, but have been waiting to be ready to swap out the struts as well. I had just over 150,000 miles on my truck and decided it was about time so I purchased a ReadyLift 3/2 kit to install on my truck. I installed them on all 4 corners on the KYB Strut-Plus spool and strut assemblies. I've done some limited suspension work in the past and consider myself mechanically inclined, although I'm by no means a pro. I found this middle setup and the how-to video on the ReadyLift website, as well as the instructions that came with the kit, to be helpful. a pair of 3 ton jacks. I have a 3 ton jack and used the spare wheel jack as a second during installation to support the lower control arms and raise the rear control arms where they connect to the frame after the new stand was installed. Assembly. In addition to the usual tools, you will also need a pull rod to loosen some screws, as they are very tight. I was able to do this work on my own without an assistant. Watch the video and you will be fine. I agree that my upper arms are stretched to the max now, but since I also installed new springs that will settle a little over time, this will likely improve things. However, I'm considering looking into longer front upper arms to reduce stress on the ball joints. Also, no modifications are required and I completed this project in my garage in about 8 hours. Before and after photos are attached. Note that I originally had a 2" front alignment kit installed by the previous owner (I removed it when I installed this lift kit) and my 20x9 wheels with 18mm offset (XD grenades). Tires Both photos show BFG KO2 tires in size 305 55R20 (about 34 inch tires) although I plan to get 35 tires soon and don't expect any friction issues due to my secondary wheel offset. All in all this was exactly the kit I was looking for and I am very happy with the new ride height. It's very noticeable and gives the truck a sturdier look and even when you get in it makes you feel a lot bigger than before. The truck rides much better now, largely thanks to the new coil and strut assemblies, but I feel like the lift kit has something to do with that as well. I would recommend swapping out the supports while you are there unless your supports are almost brand new as it takes quite a bit of work to get the old units out to install the spacers. I'd also recommend considering replacing the front UCAs while you're there, but I haven't considered other options so can't recommend a specific UCA - I remember Moog being mentioned in other reviews , so this might be a good choice. Overall I would highly recommend this lift kit for the cost and installation time and I wouldn't be afraid to tackle it myself if you have the right tools and gear. Huge improvement over the previous ride height and ride quality.
