Built to last, these Elecpow SATA III data cables have a braided finish to prevent bending that could disrupt data transfer. These cables will not come loose because the latches on each end keep them connected to the drive. And that is the main reason I ordered this bundle of 5 cables and latches. I needed to replace the cables I used to build my kid's computer. These cables without this feature made the computer look like the hard drive was dead, when in fact the SATA cable was weakened by the vibration of the fans and the optical drive playing the discs. I replaced the SATA cables for two hard drives and an optical drive with these cables. And there are still cables for another bespoke future. And these cables work great. And because these cables are long, they're also convenient to use in a full-tower case. And when you have a case showing the components, these cables look really cool too. This is definitely a great option among braided SATA cables.
