Off but I solved the problem. I hammered the nozzle until it was a bit flat. Other reviewers here have mentioned the same issue. I have been using this item for several months now. I noticed that if I held the flame very close to the ground it would burn longer than if I held it a few inches off the ground. That gave me an idea. Perhaps the gas will escape too quickly and the flame will go out. I believe if you squeeze the nozzle a little it will slow down the gas coming out. After that, I never had the annoying problem again. I left about a half inch hole in the crushed and flattened nozzle. I'm not sure you even need to go as far as I did. Maybe a little would be enough. Before the mod my answer was to shake it constantly to keep the fire going. In any case, the problem is now completely solved. However, the buyer does not have to understand this. I even bought Bernzomatic fuel in case that was the problem. nope I had to convert the device myself. This is bad design and/or testing. I recommend this device (it's a lot of fun and works) while you do the rebuild, but I won't buy any other Bernzomatic products as I don't want to test and replicate my own products.
