Review on 💧 Efficient Water Removal: Wayne 57729-WYN1 EEAUP250 1/4 HP Automatic ON/OFF Electric Pump, Black by Greg Roberts

Last year I paid about $150 for this pump in hopes it would protect my water heater and stove that my incompetent father had installed in a flood prone area. To date we have not used this unit but were amazed by the TS Elsa which poured at least 5 inches of rain in about 4 hours. So I plugged it in and it worked, thinking it could handle any flood. There was less than 2 cm of water in the basement. When I tested it less than an hour later, it only worked intermittently (e.g. 10 seconds on, 20 seconds off). It doesn't work when it's raining at 1-2 inches per hour and soon there was almost 4 inches of water in the basement. So I brought my very reliable FLOTEC hand pump, which cut the water level in half in less than 90 minutes. or so. But it was too late. My water heater was flooded and needs service. If I could return this pump for a refund I would. Suffice it to say that Wayne's customer service representatives will hear from me and they will not like what I have to say that there is NO excuse for such a pump not to run continuously in this situation. Of course this is the LAST I will EVER buy from Wayne and if you need a reliable pump (much like reliable brakes on your car) look elsewhere. Don't believe all the rave reviews posted here.
