Review on 🗑️ iTouchless 3-Pack AbsorX Odor Trash Can Filters: Activated Carbon Technology, Biodegradable, Standard Size Compartment Absorbent by Jason Nelsen

I loved it for a year while it worked. After changing the battery the opening/closing has stopped and yes I have checked that the new batteries are ok. I've tried the proprietary calibration on the lid to no avail. Unlucky tourist, because now I have to buy a new trash can. I will go for the "step to open" type after being disappointed with this type of battery. I do not recommend. Additional disadvantages of this case compared to other types: (1) There is an annoying three second delay when you try to open it with your hand near the sensor. (2) The lid slams shut without warning, sometimes with the hand still in the hole, leaving debris behind. (3) My lid no longer opens properly after inserting new batteries. The company offered to buy me a replacement cap for $39.95. How kind of you to make me this offer when I see others being offered a replacement case for $9.95. I will buy a new trash can from another manufacturer with a hinged lid. I'm pretty sure I'll be a lot happier getting rid of that inefficient recycle bin.
