I don't know anything about the "remineralizing" aspect of this product but I bought it for a specific purpose and it did the job. Actually it was much better. I used Tom's of Maine toothpaste for a while before switching to this one. While using Tom's was much better than using Crest, my teeth were still quite sensitive. I had heard about remineralizing toothpowders and was intrigued because I knew I was slowly developing tooth decay. I did a little research. I was very skeptical about the remineralization process but decided I still wanted to try toothpowder. I chose this one because the price was right and because it contains bentonite clay and calcium carbonate. Plus it's so easy and natural. You brush your teeth with peppermint soil. (The mint isn't too strong, and yes, it tastes like dirt, which I really like.) I bought this product hoping it would reduce tooth sensitivity. And so it was. I've been using it for about a month and a half now. I had intermittent toothaches for the first week while brushing my teeth, but since then it has never hurt again - not while brushing my teeth, not while eating or drinking something really cold, not while eating toffee, nothing, ever. Also, my teeth are really clean after brushing and stay clean for a long time. What really surprised me was how white my teeth became while using this product. Even some of the dark spots that could indicate cavities forming seemed to be lightening. Does this mean remineralization? May be. Maybe it's those lightened patches and reduced sensitivity that represent remineralization. I'm not going to make any claims anyway because I really have no idea. You have to see it yourself.
