It was surprisingly difficult to find a white extension cord that would wall mount without a surge protector. I have a high end dual outlet direct wall mount surge protector for my washing machine, but once installed it was not easy to get hold of. I wanted to use this power strip to provide a protected power source for the rest of the laundry room, but found that there was an extra outlet that could be accessed. It was more logical and cleaner to just buy another surge protector. I looked at this extension before sending it back. It felt solid and met all my needs. I will buy again if needed.
