Sent in a paper mailbox - it arrived with multiple hardware defects. He will be returned.
This 5TB hard drive was shipped in a paper mailbox (no internal security). (see photo). (Supplied with our latest new shipping option, which I'm trying to avoid.) Gone are the days when they were boxed and padded. As expected, the drive tests on this (see disk with errors). Note: It was cooked at 124 degrees (51 degrees Celsius) during use. It is not reliable in the long run. Hello Seagate - how will this affect your support? Cost if these things are sent in paper mailboxes?
