So. I was sitting here one evening reading all the reviews about ordering a size down and then I came across one person who said not to. I thought her son should be just like mine. So I figured all those other reviews were written by people with average or skinny kids, and I ordered what I thought was his normal size. big. He is 9 years old, tall for his age and also a strong/stocky kid. He wears oversized Nike and Old Navy oversized jogging pants. I ordered a large in them and they were HUGE. Too long and wide at the waist. I'm 5ft 2in, 175lbs and I run plus size except they fit a little on my hips. So if you are a thin, small woman who usually wears medium-sized women's clothes, a large size will suit you. thick and soft. You are very warm. I can't judge how they wear out. We haven't washed them yet. I bought these for Halloween so my son can become a Marshmello DJ. I ordered a medium and returned the large. The medium fits him perfectly. Plenty of room. The medium definitely fits as a roomy size.
