Review on Sangean RCR 20 Bluetooth Charging Digital by Wyteboi Nallamothu

I love this clock/radio! Until after 20 months half of the LED lighting failed. This device sat on my bedside table (out of the sun) the entire time I had it. I used the product manual to do a "reset" but that didn't work. I called Sangean customer service and they helped me with the reset (I found I did it right myself). The support rep suggested I remove the backup batteries and do another reset. This didn't solve the problem. We tried resetting the device a few more times, including unplugging the power cord between resets. Since the warranty is only 1 year, he told me I could send it in for repair for $40 + shipping. That's more than 1/2 the new price. I do not think so. I think I will look for another watch/radio brand. Another note: I am 59 years old and have only had three clock radios. Neither of the first two cost anywhere near as much as the Sangean RCR-20, but neither had a problem, I just replaced them with better products. Each of them lasted over 15 years!
