I noticed that my old surge protectors had cracked cases. He was about 20 years old and certainly long overdue for a replacement. I chose this backup. Enough outlets for my needs including two spaced apart for large transformers. A six foot cord works for me, long enough to reach the table, not so long that it gets in the way. The flat plug is handy and I can stick it behind a filing cabinet. The USB and USB-C ports are a nice addition. I have several things on my desk that are USB powered. Now I can plug them directly into the surge protector instead of plugging in USB chargers (and occupying outlets). It more than meets my requirements.
