Magnets, how do they work?

I may not know how magnets work, but I do know these work really great.Using them to keep a 2 piece cosplay helmet snapped shut (2 magnets on each side of the helmet attracting each other).
Holds super snug.

Pros

Used it for my shower door. Works just fine. Magnet seems to be quite strong.

Cons

Can interfere with certain medical devices
