I was looking for a landscaping bed up-light to highlight the cool bark of our birch trees and this light set was the right choice. The attached picture is brighter than reality since my Samsung phone takes great night shots -- it pulls in more light than I see in person. The lights are small and easily unnoticeable. In disassembling one, the case is sealed well with a gasket encasing the lens in a manner that will likely last the life of the unit.I've not buried them yet, because I wanted to adjust locations to get the best trunk and canopy lighting -- they are only adjustable by how you bury them of course. Once in the ground, they are invisible. The only down side of this style of light, is that they are subject to being covered by mulch or tree droppings, more so than one with a surrounding shield or an above ground spot wall washer.
