This is no ordinary thick sweatshirt. It's more like the smooth fabric often found in athletic wear—smooth, stretchy, like Lycra. It will warm you, but will not create a cozy winter mood. It's light enough to wear on chilly spring or fall days while still keeping little boys warm. The graphics are printed on the fabric and are not transferable. It has withstood regular washes without shrinking or fading. My 5 year old nephew loved the tie-dye look as it resembled his older brother's tie-dye hoodie.
