Updated 3/21/21 - So I got my 2nd set of E14-E12 adapters and tried them on my 2nd chandelier. If I did not have problems with contacts on the first chandelier, then the second chandelier turned out to be more demanding. The fit seems a little looser and I had to replace a few adapters when the light wouldn't come on. Some bulbs only glow after slightly retracting from a fixed seat. a bit worried but will keep an eye on it (try some kind of contact cleaner). This chandelier is non-dimmable (direct switch) with twelve 2W bulbs. These are similar European candelabras but the rosettes are definitely a different design. Initial Review - I have my E14-E12 adapter and it works like a charm. I'm using it with the new 2W LED bulbs, so I don't expect any heat issues even at maximum load. Note that the adapter extends the bulb an additional 3/8 inch. This is better than trying to find an E14 lightbulb.
