For cutting any kind of food or item, it's so easy to slip, especially cutting pineapples ands melons. Just rinse them out good and lay them in the sun and they dry nicely. These gloves work very well. I wear them whenever I’m carving and they save me a few times. They are a little snug on my hands but are comfortable as long as I’m moving. When I stop after a while, I start to feel the tightness.I would buy them again
