I was looking for a small antenna to use on a fire truck. I was short on space and had to install it in the cabin. I tried several smaller antennas and they all didn't work well enough. I kept getting interference from other antennas. I had to keep it in place/couldn't get good ground. Not with this antenna, it worked immediately without any special positioning. This antenna was a little longer than I wanted, but it worked best for my application. We have a lot of electronics around the stereo and the antenna, so there's a lot of interference. This antenna worked well and minimized the buzz caused by interference. It also seems to be built stronger than other antennas I've tried. the material feels high quality. I installed it horizontally and it holds its position well despite being shaken throughout the day. I'm sure I could have had better results with a longer, top-mounted car antenna, but it worked great for what I needed.
