Jensen rubber antenna

I use these on a portable radio I made with a Pioneer car radio. It doesn't have the best signal in my shop, but better than my Chevy pickup. Externally it works well and I like that it folds easily. The length is 16.5 inches from the mounting surface.

Pros
  • Trial for a year
Cons
  • Annoys

Now we can all listen to our favorite radio stations in the pool

Bought this for my Deck Tunes pool radio. The original had an internal boosted antenna that didn't work at all. I bought the same one to replace the original and it sucked too. I'm only 20-25 miles from most FM stations. Bought and installed right away. Now we can all listen to our favorite radio stations in the pool!

Pros
  • Still like everyone
Cons
  • Sad device

Doesn't quite match the '95 Toyota Camry.

Purchased to replace the motorized antenna on a '95 Toyota Camry. The antenna is connected directly to the cable in the car. However, installation is a problem. The included bracket did not fit properly as the wing opening was too large and curved. I modified the existing plastic bracket by cutting off the bottom and widening it just enough to fit the 'nut' of the new antenna. The new antenna works well and looks good.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Non automatic

Works/Fits but not intended for heavy use.

I have bought 3 of these antennas for my father's skid steer/loader over the past 5 years, they keep breaking at the base of the antenna. I couldn't find a suitable replacement other than this one, so we just keep buying the same one. The antenna fits perfectly and is adjustable, works great with the Jensen radio but is not really designed for "heavy duty" use. The problem we have with a skid steer is that it tends to catch on the brush etc and break off the antenna at the base. There really…

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Works best in car accessories

I was looking for a small antenna to use on a fire truck. I was short on space and had to install it in the cabin. I tried several smaller antennas and they all didn't work well enough. I kept getting interference from other antennas. I had to keep it in place/couldn't get good ground. Not with this antenna, it worked immediately without any special positioning. This antenna was a little longer than I wanted, but it worked best for my application. We have a lot of electronics around the stereo…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was
