bad quality control. I would look elsewhere.

Bought for woodworking. And to be honest, they would work great if there wasn't one fatal flaw. Many letters/numbers are not straight. In my set, the DMUs 4 and 9/6 were mounted at an angle. This means if you line up the stamp and hit it with a hammer, the letter/number will be printed upside down. At first I thought it was just a lousy technique until after printing the same thing onto several pieces of wood I found that it was ALWAYS the same letters coming off. So I looked closely and deeply, and lo and behold, the stamp turned the letter. I also had a slightly defective "I", that had a bulge in the middle. If only it was bad "I" I can still give 5 stars because the price was good. But with so many (5!) letters and numbers rotated a good 10 degrees or so, it's pretty terrible quality control. That's one sixth of the entire set, which I consider defective. I'm leaving them out because I've already reviewed and labeled many of them so they're easier to identify for the normal things I type and I don't really want to go through them. Trouble because you don't have much money. The "I" isn't that big of a deal, and hopefully with practice I can learn to compensate for rotated letters so they print straight. But if I buy more stamp sets for different sizes and characters, I will look elsewhere. s pretty terrible quality control. That's one sixth of the entire set, which I consider defective.
