Review on Stay Hydrated with Hidrate Spark STEEL Smart Water Bottle - Track Water Intake & Glow Reminder, 21oz Stainless Steel by Micky Lovett

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great water bottle if you follow the instructions

Really enjoyed using the bottle and have had mine for about 8 months. I gave 4 stars but would rather give 4.5. There are some features you should know about. However, I would definitely buy it again. Pros: - The bottle is accurate (if you use it correctly) - The insulation is good. The water stays cold. Cons: - Because the bottle measures volume by weight, it can't tell if you've had a drink until you place the bottle on a flat surface. This is actually a pretty clever way, but it's easy to accidentally trick the sensor in the bottle into measuring less or more volume (see tips 1 and 2 to avoid this). Synchronization is sometimes a problem. There are times when the bottle takes a long time to sync with the app or doesn't sync at all until I restart the app or phone. It's almost impossible to find a replacement charger online and when I checked the Hidrate website they were out of stock. Without a charger, you've spent a lot of money on another water bottle - Sometimes the sensor puck falls out if it's even slightly loose. Lifting, setting, shaking, etc. If the bottle is not completely fixed, it will eventually fall out. Tip 1: Never put a bottle on the table without a closed lid. When you fill the bottle and place it on the counter, the sensor assumes the lid is closed and calculates the amount of water accordingly. Not attaching the lid will result in an insufficient measurement of the amount of water you poured into it. Tip 2: Never drink from a bottle without putting it down. This isn't usually a problem as most people naturally put the bottle down after a sip. But it's most important when you're preparing to refill the bottle. When you take the last sip from the bottle, don't fill it up right away. Lower the bottle for about five seconds for the sensor to detect that the bottle is empty. The same applies immediately after filling the bottle. After refilling the bottle, never drink from it until you put it on the table. If the sensor lights up, you're done. Tip 3. Start the process of loading the sensor. You don't have to charge it every day as it takes about a week to charge, but it's quite a disappointment if you forget. I charge mine every night just to be sure.
