My brother-in-law and I recently drove across the country from Portland, Oregon to Tampa, Florida. I bought ATLAS specifically for this trip. My brother in law also bought one but it didn't arrive until the day we left so he used the other two for most of the trip and then ATLAS for the last third. Without getting into a long story about how it worked every day or anything, all I can say is that this device worked exactly as advertised. You record the desired speed, press the appropriate button and the throttle is locked. You can then make micro speed adjustments as you ride to compensate for hills etc. And to turn it off, just press another key to disable ATLAS. This is probably one of the easiest devices I've ever used. Installation would have been pretty easy, but since my bike was running and the mechanic had installed them before, I had him do it. As for my son-in-law. , he used a paddle and another device which he said worked well, but when he finally got a chance to install ATLAS he said it was like the difference between day and night. So I accept it as it worked much better than other things he had. I don't know what to say about the price. Yes, it's quite expensive, but it works. I like things that work. And would pay the amount again if needed. If you are planning a long trip, I strongly recommend considering this device.
