I've been playing foosball since I was a teenager and it's one of my favorite games. In fact, I could easily play non-stop for hours at a time, which was sometimes detrimental to my productivity at work. This is now a table game and is NOT compared to $500 and higher tables. But how do you compare that? PROS - Inexpensive ($48 at the time of writing this article) - Portable table (measures approximately 27 x 14 x 9 inches) making it easy to move and store - Fairly lightweight - Took about 20 minutes to assemble. - Balls are strong and durable (2 included) - Player bars are stainless steel, won't bend and feel strong - Counting markers and traps for counting balls are included. CONS - Unknown brand (Portzon) printed on outside of box - no manual included) - Table material is MDF and may not last as long as real wood. Those on tables worth $500+ affect ball and player control, but that's to be expected at this price point. I don't expect professional quality from this table - Legs don't fold down for more compact storage - As with many inexpensive foosball tables, the first things that are most likely to break are the players (usually where the screw hits the bar hits the player from the constant bouncing of the ball) and the rods no longer stay in place. I don't expect this kit to last long depending on how rough you play. The composition of the players is not uniform: instead of 1, 2, 5, 3 players at the crossbar (goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, forward), there are 3, 3, 3 (the goalkeeper has 2 defenders). This changes the dynamic of a normal foosball game. REMARKS. As with any piece of furniture, do not overtighten until everything is properly aligned. Foosball can get very rough. This tabletop is NOT designed for rough professional gaming. The table is suitable for children over 5 years old when they are more mature in handling the ball; have better hand-eye coordination between wrist movement, player movement and ball contact; and can understand the rules better. In the product listing images on the Revain website, you can see that Striker players are incorrectly looking back to center. In fact, they are looking straight at the goalkeeper. All in all, this is a fun little table for a quick, casual game of foosball with the kids and friends. Due to the limited size, don't expect the same feel and game dynamics as a real foosball table, and definitely don't expect pro skills. Some customization is required in how you play. Forming players 3, 3, 3 instead of the full size 1, 2, 5, 3 will also change gameplay. with your family. In fact, I prefer physical games over electronic/digital ones because they help build stronger bonds with children by encouraging them to practice hand-eye coordination and routine skills.
