They connect to the phone in the charging box.
Wrong connection. The audio was crackling, intermittent even though I was only a few feet from the source (sitting in front of my laptop, using headphones for online classes), and they also arrived at random times while I was on the case. , which caused me to miss several important phone calls as they were connected to my phone when they arrived. I received a replacement set and encountered the same issues. Returned for a full refund. No problem with that!
