I used the Chef's Choice 677 Cordless Kettle in another office. Really liked it except for the plastic inside that came in contact with boiling water. I later bought the Chef's Choice 681 cordless kettle because of my experience with the Chef's Choice brand and also because the interior of the 681 kettle was made entirely of stainless steel. Now with this purchase I wanted to get another kettle for the place I am now. Currently I have decided on this 680 model because it is completely made of glass on the inside and the plastic problem is not an issue. The quality of 680 is the same that Chef's Choice is known for. It's a bit more expensive than the others. It's also slightly heavier than the 677 and 681 models. I expect they'll continue to update their product line based on customer feedback. But like the 677 and 681, the 1500-watt kettle boils fast! I am very satisfied with this product.
