Portable Tray Companion for Cat Motel

Recently my old cat and I embarked on our "big adventure" (more on that later) that involved buying a cat motel (I chose Necoichi Portable Stress Cat Carrier Free) and a portable tablet. After some browsing I settled on this particular Pet Fit For Life Collapsible Portable Trash Can and Bonus Pet Fit For Life Collapsible Water Bowl which arrived in good condition and as described. Most importantly, this portable tray is perfect for a cat motel. It occupies about half the area of the Katzenmotel. In the other half I added a foldable blanket for extra comfort for my cat. Each cat motel and its portable tray came with a collapsible bowl and this turned out to be perfect as I used each (one for water and one for wet food). The big question for us was whether my elderly cat would actually use a portable litter box. Our "big adventure" lasted 15 hours. Traveling from Cincinneti (where I live) to Ft. Myers, Florida, all in one day. I've done this before and it's long and tough, but it's doable. My cat (who is old and mostly blind from a seizure nearly 2 years ago) has never traveled (other than to the vet's office which is minutes from my house) and was understandably stressed. in the first hours of the journey. But in the end he was exhausted from all the stress and spent most of the second half of the trip lying down. And yes, he used a portable litter box once (he drank some water once but didn't eat a single piece of wet food all day). Bottom Line: When preparing for a long trip, make sure you get yourself a comfortable (and preferably large) cat motel and a portable litter box. I got both of them a few weeks before the actual road trip and left them at my house to get used to before we set off. Based on all of the above, the trip went as expected and I would have no hesitation in recommending this portable tray kit, which features a collapsible bowl that can be used for water or food. Cat lovers unite! Please stay safe and healthy everyone.
