We have two 7 month old labrador puppies. Sisters by the way. We don't have a fenced yard and I don't like the idea of the electric wire fence. Our dogs get a lot of human exposure so I just wanted to tie them up in the yard every now and then so they could relax, play or probably dig. I had the old classic single bolt clutch that looked like an inverted triangle at the top, but with two pawls it got very tangled, mainly because the cables were sliding off into a triangle shape because there was a hole. It's hard to describe. If you've used one, you know what I'm talking about. I spent some time looking at different designs but didn't like what I saw. Not very well designed or very expensive or both. This design is amazing and the price is great. Here we have soft clay soil, which is very hard when dry, but very soft in the rainy spring. I need big, strong propellers to stay anchored. This 3 design is even better! And the flat swivel top is perfect for two dogs. So far it's been amazing. I highly recommend this tie.
