No problem with this product. Holds the rifle snugly and securely without undue stress or wear on the stock or scope (scabbard/scabbard not used). Rubber forks and a small flip-up rubber valve hold the rifle securely in place without scratching or stressing the scope. However, I have not tested them in sub-zero temperatures. A short bungee cord may also be needed to ensure that the weapon is completely fixed. I rode a few miles of hilly, creek crossing terrain without incident (no bungee). I mounted the product on a rack parallel to the wheels rather than across the front wheel (this broke way too many things) and my only concern is the trigger/safety catching on something. I'll probably cycle year-round to hold tools with handles that are too big for the yellow tool holders.
