If you use refilled cartridges in your HP printers and suddenly they stop working and the printer no longer accepts cartridges that have worked well for years, it means that HP has come to your printer and the firmware updated no longer works with refilled cartridges. This is a desperate attempt to continue to deceive the consumer. So you have two options: you can buy genuine HP ink cartridges, which will cost you at least $150 even at Costco, which is more than what a new printer costs, or you can go to what I call Consumer protection companies label Double D. Wondering if the quality is as good as HP? Absolutely! Will their cartridges ruin the printer? Never had a problem with Double DD inks. I also use their ink in my other HP printer. HP will eventually attempt to update your printer again, so go into settings and if you can turn off automatic updates, do so.
