I have bought 3 and of all I have one that works well after putting the pieces together. YouTube videos are disingenuous because no one shows the necessary preparation. Also no instructions. DO NOT use lamp oil as recommended, you will ruin it. Use lighter fluid. Also close the screw cap, otherwise your liquid will slowly run out. The wick needs to be serviced about every 20 lights. One broke a flint but as I bought 3 together I had spares. It's not a useful "survival" lighter, it's a novelty at best. You will NOT take this out of a water container and set it on fire, I care what youtube videos show.
