This product cools the electronics of the headset very well. The exhaust air comes out cool even after several hours of play. In my opinion the product could have been a bit quieter, with reduced airflow, and it would still have cooled the headset adequately. How well it actually protects the front from fogging up or anything like that, I can't say. I've never had problems with sweating. I /think/ it's a bit cooler, but I'm pretty sure I can't feel the airflow with the fan on. This is probably mostly due to the design of the headset (very limited travel to the front of the headset). Also, I can't say for sure that I want the area to have a lot of airflow that might dry out the eyes. After all, I find it a little overpriced for what it is, a pair of low-voltage, switch-type fans, USB powered. In my opinion a speed control, even just low/high, would definitely justify the price.
