I am very embarrassed that I have been using cheap $35 tripods for too many years and this Manfrotto tripod for the past few months have . I mainly use a video tripod and bought this 755XB with a Manfrotto 701HDV Pro Fluid Video Mini Head. The combination is just great. The tripod itself is also stable in the standard position. The legs can be spread wider for more stability or when working on uneven ground. The leveling mechanism is very quick when you need to move the tripod - simply loosen the headstock, adjust the position of the bubble level and tighten. What an idiot, I spent years adjusting the length of two separate legs on a cheap tripod. I like it.
