Review on GMB 125 6030 Replacement Water Gasket by Mike Lawler

When the mechanic saw the water pump he immediately asked me why I bought it? he said ACDelco is 1000 times better; I bought it because it was the cheapest. However, he installed it and replaced the drive belt (also bought from Revain and he's a prefect); I've flushed the coolant system and something else, filled with antifreeze and expelled all air from the radiator and pump, etc. It only appears to be normal operation. it's ready - I went to my vet clinic to get food for my cats (15 min drive), everything is fine; Park car in front of vet (woman in car) buy stuff, put in back seat (about 5 million total) get in car and my Jag reads HIGH ENGINE TEMPERATURE. I parked the car immediately, called the mechanic, he said it happened while parked right? I go like yes and there he said he installed 5 of these, 2 did the same thing because in park mode they don't pump enough water and when driving for some reason they do. The mechanic still has the car, I file a claim with Revain. I would advise against it for people with high performance engines, at least that is my own experience. I hope I have helped someone. Roger
