For me, this facial steamer serves a dual purpose. My allergies were bothering me and I was feeling so much pressure in my sinuses that I decided to try this to help and it really works. Instead of standing next to a hot stove with boiling water, I used this facial steamer to release the pressure and it worked. I just poured filtered water in here, brought my face closer and felt so relieved. When it comes to opening the pores, it does that too. I used this first before using the scrubber to vacuum up blackheads and I usually did this when I got out of the shower but I have a lot more blackheads with it. I really notice the difference when looking in a 10x mirror. If my skin feels cool, I just bring my face back and continue. My face becomes much clearer.
