I normally wear size 6, which is what I ordered for these boots. The footrest is quite large. I scaled them down to size 5 which fits perfectly. Unfortunately, the rest of the boot fits very oddly in both a size 5 and a size 6. The ankles stuck out on both pairs and the top opening was very narrow. I'm 5ft 2" and 117lbs, my calves seemed to be the right size but I could barely get my feet into these boots. I ordered the navy blue mattes which I really like and prefer the glossy ones. I'm disappointed these didn't work because I really liked the boots. In general, the shaft height was ok for my short legs, but these boots were too thin for me. I ended up buying the original style which suited me better.
