I used this on my external rear diesel fuel tank on my 2017 F250 6.7 liter Superduty pickup. I was set up as a gravity tank, but I wanted to turn the pump on so I could fill my original truck fuel tank when needed, which I did. The problem I had was that the 12 volt diesel pump I had wasn't stopping the flow being pushed from my external tank into my truck's original tank. It was slowly dripping over the weekend while my truck was parked in the driveway. On Monday I drive the car with a full tank. That's great for some people but I was afraid the flow would never stop and it would spill out and make a mess SO. I installed this diesel solenoid valve between my external tank and my pump. I already had a cable from my 12v to the electric pump and a toggle switch in the cab. I connected this solenoid directly to my pump as this solenoid stayed closed when off, as soon as I turn the pump on this solenoid opens. Works perfectly! and it completely stopped the thread on shutdown. Very happy.
