It only made sense to me to buy a 50 foot spool of this Chemtronics desoldering braid as the price per foot made the most sense . This desoldering nozzle is the best I have ever used in over 30 years of soldering. The copper braid is of exceptionally high quality and is woven so FINE that it picks up solder VERY FAST. It looks too pretty to use, but you will use it! I usually cut a piece off the spool, then hold it with pliers to keep my fingers warm, and on old, oxidized solder joints or when using lead-free solder I make sure to use flux and a fresh drop of clean Put solder on the joint and desolder it so everything melts easily. If I use flux, I dip the wick in the flux before use so that everything flows well. You will not regret this purchase. This is money well spent!
