did not work: faucet mounting filter

Black rubber - a hair small in OD and "tapered" when the fitting starts to squeeze. The silicone ones appear to be the correct outside diameter but are too slippery and slide all the way into the fitting when tightened. And no, I'm not overwhelmed.
