This door leaf is just the right thing to protect the passage between the kitchen and living room from drafts. We distribute the heat in zones to save on heating costs, ie we only heat the area that we are currently using. We bought this curtain to keep us warm in our living room. This allows us to easily pass from the living room to the kitchen without losing heat from the main room. The curtain is visually appealing, very easy to attach with velcro and closes perfectly as you exit and enter the room. Our frame was too rigid to use the included security knobs, so we stapled the door panel to the frame, which worked much better than just glue. PVC/Plastic material, very thick and durable. The magnets are correctly aligned to open and close as you walk through - no need to pull them behind you. My cats and dogs can easily go to and from the kitchen for food/water by opening the curtain and it closes right behind them. There are no more drafts and we have a warm and cozy living room. We even love the design of the curtain - you can't see through it, but it lets in some light so you can see if someone is on the other side. Initially we simply put on a thermal fabric curtain to achieve a similar result, but we ended up encountering people walking and walking and the thermal curtain wasn't nearly as effective at keeping out drafts. I like this a lot because it does what it's supposed to do, closes easily and looks good.
