I love this product! As I mentioned in my title, I should have bought it sooner. We have a wide hallway (72 inches wide) that opens to our great room and needed something to separate the great room from the rest of the house because of our lovely little daughter (11 months old). I've seen this before (and others like it) but it was just expensive so I tried another product (Baby Delight Go with Me Expandable Gate) which was great for what it was - a gate. but without a door, which wasn't great for us. Every time one of us had to go to the other half of the house, we had to tear it down (which didn't take too long or was difficult [it's also high blood pressure], but just a damn agony). Anyway I went with this option first (if you need to cordon off a part of your house etc that you don't visit often then that's great; it's also a tall gate so my husband is 6ft tall) . 1" couldn't put my leg over it) because it was cheaper and I didn't realize how much it would hurt. first gate, easy to install and strong BUT with a door! The door can be opened in both directions, has a locking function and closes by itself (sometimes it doesn't but that's ok) love these gates and they fit in our wide hallway our little daughter is very boisterous and always on the move, she is also a bull and shakes and tests for strength.This gate has withstood its many strength tests on a daily basis since we received and installed it.Highly recommend it!
