Review on Logitech G G502 Hero Gaming Mouse, Black by Makoto Takayama ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The item was good, I'll recommend it to my friends.

Since I've been working with a mouse for a few days now, there's no question about different kinds of double-clicks or other marriages. But, there is a problem with the design. To be more specific, it refers to the existence of a DPI adjustment button that is perfectly positioned under the thumb. I'm not sure, but it's possible that I still don't use mice the right way, because I'm used to adjusting the mouse with my thumb and ring finger from separate sides. In addition, "squeezing" the mouse during the game at certain very tense points in the action is a frequent thing to do. And with regard to G502, I keep pressing this button over and over again. I have no choice except to disable it within the application; yet, the sensation of making superfluous clicks still persists. A Logitech G600 mouse of mine gave me a similar issue at one point. The only difference is that in it, the issue was on the other side. There, as well, by some strange choice in the design process, a third key was added to the side of the right one, and it had a shift function. I used my ring finger to press this key constantly. It is not fully clear why the button used to alter the DPI setting cannot be moved slightly backwards. Position of the beginning of the first row of side buttons on MOBA gaming mice. There should be no difficulty in sliding your thumb back to press the button. But in a typical gaming scenario, there is nothing stopping you from holding the mouse the way you would ordinarily hold it in your hand.

Pros
  • I was able to get it for $4,190, which is a savings. With the reviews that mention how fragile it is, I would have been very skeptical about purchasing it at the full price.
Cons
  • Under the thumb is a button that changes the DPI.
