Review on Upgraded JACS Samsung Dryer Idler Pulley DC93-00634a with Dual Ball Bearings - Replaces Samsung Dryer Parts DC97-07509b AP4373659 AP6038887 AP4213616 PS4216837 PS11771601 by Steven Emberling

I was NOT happy with Samsung when my (about 1 year old) dryer started squeaking like a scalded cat. Luckily, if you know how, you can take it apart with a simple Phillips screwdriver. The OEM part fell into disrepair and Samsung did NOT make it with any type of bearing, just a sintered iron bushing. So I was happy to find this part with two (2) sealed ball bearings. I was a little concerned that the bearings would slide freely on the shaft. I thought maybe they could hit the plastic mount at the end of the shaft and wear out. It was part of the problem with the OEM part. So I put some "Locktite Bearing Kit B" on the shaft and centered the reel while it settled. Probably not necessary, but this is how I did it. You also get a new shoulder bolt for the lever pivot. This is because this part does not have extra metal at the pivot point like the OEM part. Be sure to use the supplied screw. I wonder if this will be the point of failure for this part? A little wear here and the arm may tilt causing the strap to be off center. I put a drop of lube on the pivot. The hinge doesn't oscillate much, but the wobble as the drum rotates is fairly constant.
