I hooked it up and tried using it as a replacement for the stock Cobra mic which sounds "plastic" and seems to work well. Drivers report cleanliness. Seems to work well with my Cobra and I haven't lost any range. It's a little more compact than most mics today, which I like because the shift knob on my truck shares space with my mic. The fit and finish feel premium, and the cable and 4-pin connection feel solid and secure. The only complaint about the tightness of the cable spool is it's tight. I expect a few months in the sun to loosen it up a bit, but it's tight now (winter) and I have to tug on the cord to get it into the working position.
