Broke very quickly.

I ride a finish knife and use my CB for work everyday. I'm not an avid conversationalist like most drivers. I use my radio as little as possible, mainly for checking the quarry and for weighing. The microphone button broke after 3 days, I thought it was just an accident so the seller was able to replace it. I received a new microphone perfectly, only after 3 weeks the button broke in the same way. It worked great, my last lap the next morning didn't work at all. It's not bad for the price, but…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Works as intended: Accessory

I hooked it up and tried using it as a replacement for the stock Cobra mic which sounds "plastic" and seems to work well. Drivers report cleanliness. Seems to work well with my Cobra and I haven't lost any range. It's a little more compact than most mics today, which I like because the shift knob on my truck shares space with my mic. The fit and finish feel premium, and the cable and 4-pin connection feel solid and secure. The only complaint about the tightness of the cable spool is it's tight.

  • Good workmanship

Great replacement, don't know why others are complaining

Really nothing to complain about for such a cheap mic. It does what it has to do to replace the microphone. Since it's so cheap I would categorize it as "disposable" because if it breaks or stops working you can just get another one. I use it off road a few times a month and so far so good. My old Cobra mic was bad because the other party heard a loud screech when transmitting. Replacing the microphone solved the problem and they actually hear me better than before. I was able to take them both

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style
