Value for money is unmatched in portable refrigerators. The situation is different for permanent solutions for home use. If you set the cooler to -4 degrees Fahrenheit at room temperature, it will never reach that temperature and it will shut down to save power. It keeps running, sucking 50-60 watts of power from your generator. I thought maybe it was too cold so I set it to 0 degrees Fahrenheit but no, it ran all night. To make matters worse, it makes a loud, annoying noise, like you've walked into an aquarium and heard a water pump pump. It's portable and weighs 28 pounds, which compares favorably to other smaller, more compact fridges with more complex components that can get in your way. It's a good size and fits what I need, but I'm returning it because its compressor isn't efficient or powerful enough to save energy and it makes too much noise.
