Why we returned this dashcam/backup camera:1. Video quality at night on both the front and rear cameras was unusable. Even at dusk, the headlights completely flood the stern (see attached video).2. Disabling the rear camera to use the screen as a regular mirror creates a double reflection that makes everything a bit blurry. The front camera is part of the mirror display that covers the rearview mirror, so there's no point in removing the device to see your normal mirror.3. Although the video was of fairly good quality, you cannot rely on it to capture license plates. The refresh rate is too slow, causing small text to appear.4. There is always a reflection in the monitor. Sometimes this can blur the image and make it unusable. What we liked about the setup: With the right lighting, the video transmission was good. The examination of the salon went perfectly. The wide angle lens really improved the view behind our van. We had no technical issues with this camera setup. It just worked out of the box. What we didn't review: We didn't set up the GPS, so we didn't test its associated features.
