These are very similar to the better known good Redline tuning racks which also get great reviews. They work as expected. Advantages: They are cheaper with the same quality and design as well-known brands. They make it easier to open the top and it is not difficult to close it once open. You can also change the position of the mounting brackets a bit to allow the hood to be held a little lower if you have lights that can hit the windshield. I found this to be a huge benefit over the OEM hood support. Cons: To install them you need a rivet gun, which not many people have at home. So keep that in mind when purchasing. This is true of almost every other cowl brace I've seen and it's really the only way to get the mounting brackets where they should be. The installation instructions are not good. They're hard to follow/read, but you can search YouTube for videos on installation and the process is the same for all. Overall, I'm impressed with these hood struts.
